It's My Birthday and I'll be fabulous if I want to!
My 27th Birthday was this last Friday and I am not sure how I feel about getting older. I want to of course
age gracefully just like my mother I can only hope that I inherit her
beautiful skin. At this stage in my life my heart is full, I have a
wonderful, precious daughter and a sweet, handsome, loving husband. I
have everything I have ever wanted and I am so happy. This set reflects
my girly side and my sophisticated side, a little frills and a little
sparkle. Last but not least my favorite accessory that I am never
without, my wedding ring.
Pastel Comfort
This set was inspired by my sister and daughter. They always wear the signature black legging. I believe that the goal is comfy chic :) So this is just that, a baby doll dress paired with leggings and flat boots, throw in a cashmere Alexander McQueen scarf for a cozy touch, a vintage Dolce purse and Voila! I can be comfy and fabulous.

My Love, My Light
Motherhood is a joy and a privilege. I became a mother at a very young age (20) so it is hard for me to even say I remember what it felt like to not know the love I have for my sweet daughter. Becoming Leina's mommy really defined who I was as a person and changed me to be who I am today, I guess you could say that I grew up being a mom. Despite the circumstance of her conception (I was 19 and just broke up with her father and was home from college on Christmas break), I was so excited that I had this little life in side me. I immediately felt this overwhelming sense of protectiveness over her, she was mine to protect, defend and nurture. I knew ever since I was little that I was supposed to be a mommy. My baby sister was born when I was 7 1/2, and I remember everything that my mom would do, from feeding to changing I was right there and wanting to be a part of it. So it was no surprise that when my daughter was born it felt so natural to know what to do. Being a young mom, especially a young single mom, you don't start out knowing all the answers, does any parent really? But being at a young age you don't have many life experiences to pull from, motherhood becomes your life experience. Your child begins to teach you, patience, love, simplicity, and for me taking time to stop and smell the roses. Pregnancy, childbirth, and all my motherhood memories up until this point are my warmest. I look forward to what all that lies ahead. Leina, my precious, illuminant light, mommy loves you now until forever. <3
