Mom's Berry Crunch

This recipe was a favorite of mine when I was growing up, my brothers and I would always beg my mom to make this delicious dessert dish! I have modified  the recipe a bit over the years, and honestly I don't even look at a recipe any more when I make it but I thought it would be good to write down so I can pass the recipe on for others to enjoy. Mom's Berry Crunch can be served hot right out of the oven or eaten the next day cold right out of the fridge for breakfast.

 Ingredients

For Crunch
1/2 stick of butter
1 cup flour
1 cup oats
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tbs baking powder

For Berries
1 16 oz bag of frozen berry medly
2 tbs instant vanilla pudding powder

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees

Pour berries into a large bowl and sprinkle vanilla pudding powder on top and mix together, set aside.

In a large sauce pan on med high heat melt butter, then add brown sugar then oats.  Then gradually add flour salt and baking powder. Brown in pan should take 5 - 7 minutes. Remove from heat.

Pour berry mixture into a 8 x 8" Baking dish.
Then pour crunch mixture evenly over the top of the berries.  Bake for 30-35 minutes until crunch is golden brown. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
